Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad
Piano man he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows, the tune she hums
But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can't hear me
When I say softly, slowly
Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
you had a busy day today
Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
* Uma das cenas mais felizes do cinema mundial. Bernie Taupin escreveu essa letra inspirado na sua primeira viagem nos Estados Unidos. "Blue jean baby, LA Lady, seamstress for the band" é Maxine Feibelmann, namorada de Bernie. Ela viajava com a banda nas primeiras turnês dando uma força, costurando roupas e etc.. Casaram-se em 1971.

Comentado por enio @ fevereiro 21, 2007 05:14 PMThe greatness of this movie, for me, is that it goes beyond of what a movie needs to be good...more than an original story about love or music, it shows and shares and spreads the LOVE FOR MUSIC like a disease "so much..that it hurts" Passion in an amazing level, it turns contagious. This is the part of the movie that tells you where home is... where the security, tranquility, and sense of fullfillment are. Home, next to your friends, next to a good fucking Song!
freymaroto: you said it all. =^D
by the way, this is a fucking movie, like other great movie about our relashionship with music: high fidelity.
